And in an instant of ecstasy sublime, It shattered old walls and barriers. An embrace beyond all ancient honour infused our bread with flavours of new love.

The book is about an inner process, a journey made of introspections and memories. Along the way the authors want to share with the readers their migration experiences lived in ways, places and various situations through a creative blending of poetry, prose and paintings. Its sole aim is to pass on a document where any migrant can find elements of identification and reflection. On the occasion Giovanna Guzzardi from ALIAS and Prof. Raffaele Lampugnani will join the author to celebrate cultural diversity. The talk will be in Italian and English.

The land is substance, the land is memory. We belong to the land, we were born on a land, we get back to the land. We break up the land, we sow it, we plough it, we watch over it, we cruise it, we bless it and we don't forget it. We lie under the land, we rise from the land. Carlo Lauricella, a watchful, mature, thoughtful teacher, wonders: ''How do remind a land? How do we tell the land by art?''. The answer, through our eyes, through our heart has come to the painting just today at the height of this strength, after a lot of teaching, researching and testing years using several techniques and materials.

High Dynamic Rome is an exhibition portraying some of the most picturesque lanes and unique squares of Rome and the Vatican City. Some famous sites as the Pantheon, built by Emperor Hadrian in about 126AD, to some hidden corners, as the awesome back lanes of Navona Square. All the photos were made in a week long project in November 2011.

Rome is an open air museum and it deserves the right time to explore every square, every lane, every corner, every step, every gate, every bit of it. Rome required a greater usage of dynamic range from the lightest to the darkest area. This is my best way to represent and paint the city. I have decided to use a photography technique called HDR (High Dynamic Range) taking it to the extreme to give a soft and delicate painting effect.
