Hare Krishna!
My name was Jeannie and I am a cow. Thank you ISCOWP members for saving me from slaughter! I am so happy now. I even have a new name, Vegan Indira! I was so scared when I first came. I thought I was going to the auction barn to be sold for meat because I couldn't get pregnant again. I really didn't want to get pregnant again. What would be the use? All my babies were taken away from me and I know some went to the auction barn or veal crate. I can't think about that!
But I have faith now. I hear the conversations of some of the visitors that come here. After visiting me, they are talking about reducing the amount of milk products they consume, about increasing or starting cow protection, or pledging to not take any milk unless it comes from a protected cow like me.
But millions of "spent cows," boy calves and oxen will die needlessly due to the ignorance of humans about how their diet choices cause the death of my fellow cows. And human's ignorance of the "how to" of cow protection stifles current cow protection projects and impedes the development of new ones. So ISCOWP's lifesaving work is more important than ever! That's why I hope you'll make a year-end donation of your choice today. Your gift today will be doubled as part of ISCOWP's 2013 Matching Gift Challenge!
You see, an anonymous donor has stepped forward to match your gift dollar-for-dollar until ISCOWP reaches $20,000 or Dec. 31. Approximately $18,000 has been donated due to the generosity of ISCOWP members and friends like you. Please help ISCOWP reach the final goal of $20,000 in the next few days.
Your support will help ISCOWP produce educational literature, give seminars and workshops to promote the value of the cow beyond the profits of the meat and the dairy industries and give knowledge on the "how to" of cow protection so that more cows can be protected. Your support will also help ISCOWP save more cows and maintain them at the ISCOWP farm. Together, we have the opportunity to save lives and to change the consciousness of people towards a more compassionate based diet that realizes the true value of the cow.
Thank you in advance,
Vegan Indira and the ISCOWP staff
