The Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to introduce our Membership Referral Program Special good through August 31, 2014.  For every business you refer that becomes a member, you will receive a credit on your account to be used toward next year's membership fees.  Each credit is worth $100!  There is no limit to the number of referrals you can make. (CLICK button below for more details.) 

 

How it works:

 

It's simple:

  1. Identify businesses who you feel would benefit from Chamber Membership. Think of those you do business with on a regular basis.  Find out if they belong to the Chamber (A complete listing of Chamber members is available at
  2. Fill out the quick and easy "Referral Form" by clicking the Referral Discount button below.
  3. Talk with Rachel Rollin from our office (989) 772-2396 on how you and the Chamber can best communicate with the potential Chamber Member.
  4. Upon receipt of payment from the new member business you will receive a credit entitling you to $100 off your next year's membership.

Business & Community Expo, once again will be an interactive and fun event for community members, and we encourage exhibitors to provide demonstrations, samples, games, and other engaging activities.  This gives the Expo a fun atmosphere and draws attendees to your booth.  The Chamber will promote your activity ahead of time in advertising.

September's Economic Outlook luncheon presented by the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce will feature a unique perspective from local community leaders.  Hear how three specific industries effect  our local economy and participate in a question and answer program with our three guest speakers.

 

Dr. George Eugene Ross, President of Central Michigan University. Prior to assuming the CMU presidency in 2010, Dr. Ross served as President of Alcorn State University. Before his appointment as president at Alcorn State University, he held the positions of Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services at Central Michigan University.

 

Matthew Felan, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance is a Bay City native who earned his bachelor's degree in international relations from Michigan State University.  Felan, who most recently served as the director of the McLaren Bay Medical Foundation in Bay City, assumed his new role for the Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance March of this year. 

 

Dennis Angner, Director of the Corporation and Isabella Bank since 2000. He has been principally employed by Isabella Bank Corporation since 1984 and has served as President of the Corporation since 2001 and CFO since 2010.  He is the past Chair of the Michigan Bankers Association and is currently serving as vice chairman of its taxation committee. He is a member of the American Bankers Association Government Relations Council, and has served on the Central Michigan Red Cross Board for over 20 years.
