AMERICUS, Ga. - The future Americus Motorsports Complex (AMC) is featured as the leading potential economic development project for the Americus and Sumter County area in the November edition of Georgia Trend magazine, the state's leading publication for business, politics and economic development.

The Americus and Sumter County spotlight in the magazine is entitled "Racing to Prosperity" to further highlight the growth potential that this significant project has for the county, region, state and entire southeastern United States.

Georgia Trend magazine is distributed to 50,000 subscribers around the state that include the most influential business and political leaders. The magazine is also delivered to 20,000 other recipients throughout the Small Business Development Center network.

Since the February 9, 2011, announcement of the Americus Motorsports Complex, the Star Racing team has been working tirelessly on the lengthy planning and approval process required for such a large facility. After more than 30 years in the motorcycle drag racing industry, the Bryces are utilizing their own experiences and the knowledge of others in the industry to ensure that this motorsports complex is a world class facility with as few hurdles as possible during the planning and construction phases.

The Bryces have also been promoting the AMC nationally for two years through their NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) Pro Stock Motorcycle Sovereign-Star Racing team.

This facility, which will be located on 470 acres across from South Georgia Technical College, will focus on both automobile and motorcycle racing and will include a dragstrip, road race course, training centers, motorsports business technology park, amphitheater and autominiums.
