Sovereign-Star Racing's Michael Ray claimed his second career victory in his first final round appearance of 2013 at the Toyota NHRA Summernationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J.

This significant win marks the 79th NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle win for Star Racing and the company's first since 2008. It also marked the first victory for the Sovereign-Star Racing combination that was organized last season by Star Racing's George Bryce and his Sovereign Racing partner Jenõ Rujp.

Norwegian Pro Stock Bike racer Kenneth Vik will seek the 2013 FIM Europe Drag Bike Championship title aboard his new Sovereign-Star Racing Suzuki motorcycle featuring the recently approved MonStar cylinder head technology.

 

This Star Racing-built Suzuki will be sponsored by Jenõ Rujp's Sovereign Racing, the 2011 European Motorcycle Union (UEM) Championship team. The motorcycle features the new MonStar four-valve billet aluminum cylinder head, designed by Star Racing and Monster Race Products.

 

With his new Sovereign-Star Racing Suzuki, Vik will be the first European racer to run this new MonStar cylinder head in competition. This state-of-the-art product was officially approved for Pro Stock Bike competition in the FIM Drag Bike Championship in April 2012.

If you like the video, let us know! We had a couple of great test and tune days with European Sovereign-Star Racing driver Kenneth Vik's newly built, MonStar-powered Suzuki at the Auto Plus Raceway in Gainesville, Florida.

Our close friend for many years, Dan Parker, lost his eyesight in a terrible accident but he did not lose his vision for racing.

 

Despite the incredible odds against him, Dan has come back from this tragedy with a renewed drive to succeed. Part of that success will involve being the first blind man to ever drive at the Bonneville Salt Flats.

As a former chassis builder, tuner and racer, Dan is not only aiming to pilot his new 50 cc trike combination on the Flats but also to build it all himself.

 

Part of Dan's incredible recovery since the accident can be credited to his desire to quickly get back to work doing what he loves - fabrication. Dan designed the frame for the new trike in his head and, with the help of interactive audio measurement tools, he has completed about 80 percent of the fabrication work himself.
