Polyurethane Tubing
Polyurethane is made from two different types of polyol alcohols, ether-based and ester-based. For the most part these two types are similar; the differences are that the lesser expensive ester-based will degrade when in contact with moisture. We at Polyconn want to give you the best quality parts and so we only supply the ether-based type. Polyconn provides a number of types of tubes that are made of Polyurethane:
Straight Polyurethane tube is available in 85A, 90A and 95A durometer. Our polyurethane tubing has a high resistance to kinks and abrasions and is extremely flexible. Another remarkable quality is it's "memory"; it will always return to its original shape no matter how much it is stretched. It also has a strong resistance to chemicals, water, fuel, oil & fungus. Naturally clear this tubing is available in a variety of colors and sizes. |
Multi-bore tube is available in 85A and 90A durometer. It is produced in a single extrusion and so is only available in a single color, if you need multiple colors you may want to consider Multi-color ribbon. The strands are not meant to be separated and should not be used with push-in fittings. Available in configurations of two to six. |
Multi-Colored Ribbon is available in 85A and 95A durometer. Ribbon tubing is bonded together which allows the tubes to be easily separated without leaving a residue and also ensures a tight seal with push-in style fittings. As the ribbon is bonded together it eliminates the need for wrapping or jacketing the tubes. It can have up to 20 tube configurations which can be mix & matched with different sizes and colors, allowing you to color code your tubes to help with tracing and identifying. |
Drop Coil is available in 85A durometer in single or multi-bore ribbon configurations. The drop coil has outstanding memory and is resistant to abrasion, overstretching, kinking and repeated flexing. It has a soft feel but is extraordinarily tough. The standard sized coils have two straight "tails" to position tubing away from tools; we can also quote custom coils.
