Special Supercomputing Issue - See us at SC14 booth 3617

As a member of the VisIt community, Intelligent Light has been active in delivering enhancements to VisIt and working to expand the adoption of this excellent scalable visualization tool in industry.  At SC14, we welcome users, developers and interested parties to join us to learn about our progress and to let us know how you would like to see VisIt enhanced.  We'll share the latest developments in VisIt and also demonstrate VisIt integration with FieldView for in-situ post-processing, examples from customer use in 2014, development for leadership class systems and exascale computing.

VisIt Breakthroughs at SC14 - Booth #3617

Intelligent Light is working with the VisIt community advancing VisIt for use in production engineering environments and on leadership class machines.  Used as an engine for in-situ post-processing, VisIt is a powerful, scalable tool for the most complex CFD and visualization problems.  Our staff will be sharing the latest developments for VisIt 2.8 and upcoming releases in our booth.  Learn how to export FieldView XDB files from VisIt to take advantage of the high performance graphics and other strengths of FieldView. We are also supporting several other HPC programs at the conference.

Our in-booth presentations include:
  • Intelligent Light Moves Forward with VisIT

    • Steve Legensky, Intelligent Light - Tue. 2:00 pm

  • Developing VisIt for In-Situ on Leadership Class Systems

    • Brad Whitlock, Intelligent Light - Wed. 1:00 pm

  • Toward Exascale: A Year of VisIt Development Expands the Envelope with VisIt 2.8
    • Brad Whitlock, Intelligent Light - Wed. 3:00 pm

HPCImpactHPC Impact Showcase at SC14

Intelligent Light has been selected to participate in the HPC Impact Showcase at SC14.  The  HPC Impact Showcase brings real world applications of HPC that make a difference in shaping our world.  Intelligent Light General Manager and Founder, Steve Legensky, will share cases of leading organizations whose CFD business success is enabled by remote or on-demand HPC.  Presentations take place in the HPC Impact Showcase Theater on the exhibit floor.

Half day session Monday, November 17, 1:30-5pm

Visualization and data analysis are an essential component of the scientific discovery process. Scientists and businesses running HPC simulations leverage visualization and analysis tools for data exploration, quantitative analysis, visual debugging, and communication of results. This half-day tutorial will provide attendees with a practical introduction to mesh based HPC visualization and analysis using VisIt, an open source parallel scientific visualization and data analysis platform.
