2013 Chamber Events 

Mark your calendars for a new year of Chamber meetings and events.  We're endeavoring to bring important information to our members and have networking events in places that will be of interest and value.  As you can see, we have a few dates that have yet to be scheduled so if you have a topic of interest or would like to host a Business After Hours, please let us know.  All meetings are in Rooms A&B of the Bryan Center unless noted otherwise

1/17 9-10 am; Collaboration in Social Media; A conversation led by Dan Young & Roger Reynolds about recent changes in Facebook and how we can work together to use social media to our mutual advantage.
2/21 6-8 pm; Annual Meeting to review 2012 and preview 2013; Antioch Midwest; Heavy appetizers & wine bar, $25 per person.
2/27 5:30-7 pm; Greene County Career Center Business After Hours; A special networking event for members of all Greene County Chambers.
3/21 9-10 am; The New Healthcare Landscape:  What you need to know about the Affordable Care Act.

4/18 12-1 pm; Chamber Benefits with representatives of most benefits providers; lunch will be provided by SOCA, door prize drawing.

Welcome New Board Members 

The Chamber board election was held at the end of December.  Thanks to those of you who voted.  We would like to congratulate and welcome newly elected members Sherryl Kostic and Ann Simonson.  Three other current board members were re-elected for another term.  Below are those members just elected:

Zoning Code Update Continues 

A year long update to the Village zoning code is in the final stages.  A revised draft has been completed by LSL Planning & Zoning.     To read the current zoning code draft, click here.  To view the new zoning map, click here.  For those of you who are new to the process, there are two documents that would be beneficial to review.  Click here to read an executive summary of the rationale for the update and description of the process.  Click here to view a powerpoint summary. 

The next meeting to discuss the zoning code is a joint Village Council/Planning Commission meeting on Wednesday, January 16, 7 - 9 pm in Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of the Bryan Center.  This is a public meeting open to everyone.
