MEET TRACE

We have a new addition to the family! Nancy's daughter, Haunani, delivered her first baby, a boy, on Dec. 11.
 The Mom appreciates that Trace is very mellow and sleeps plenty, albeit mostly during the day. They are working to get his rhythm adjusted so he will sleep more at night. The doctor reports Trace is perfectly healthy. And Tad, the daddy, has proudly changed all but a very few diapers to date. Way to go Dad!
We are all quite smitten with the little fellow.

Aurifil has announced a price increase on their products for 2014. As we have done in the past, we do not raise our prices when they raise theirs. We will hold our current 2013 prices as long as we can; essentially selling the inventory we purchased at 2013 prices, before raising our prices to you.
What that means is we cannot tell you exactly when our prices will increase. The faster our inventory sells the sooner the price will increase.
We will give you some advance notice about our new prices and the timing. But, the smart thing to do is to purchase any thread you need soon.

Greetings!
The tradition of sending Christmas cards dates back to the United Kingdom in 1843, the early days of the "Public Post Office." Is it just our imagination, or do you remember when it cost less to mail a card if you tucked the envelope flap inside instead of sealing the flap? Through the years we have seen changes in the style of cards, the addition of letters, and now the use of e-cards. No matter the style or 
method, the important part of the tradition is that you pause to think about the people you are sending your cards to; and for the person receiving your card to know that they are near and dear to your heart. This month, we want you to know that you are very dear to us. We think fondly of you as we send our Christmas greetings.

- March 22-23, Auburn, CA. Vendor at Foothill Quilters Quilt Show.
- April 1-2, Seabeck, WA. Nancy will be teaching Celtic applique at The Applique Society Retreat.
- May 16-18, Grants Pass, OR. Vendor at Rogue Valley Piecemakers Quilt Show.
- June 18-21, Baltimore, MD. Baltimore Applique Society.
