Honor Board         

The Arlington ISD Board of Trustees is among five school boards from across the state selected as Texas Honor Boards by the Texas Association of School Administrators. This program has honored boards that have demonstrated dedication to student achievement and make every effort to put students first since 1971. | The 2013 Board of Trustees was recently recognized as one of the top five school boards in Texas.

Inspired Learners                       

Summer graduates       

Nearly 150 students from all six high schools and also the dropout prevention program made up the summer graduation class of 2014 for the Arlington ISD. These students received their diploma at a ceremony on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Texas Hall at UT-Arlington.Two of the 146 members of the summer graduation class of 2014 celebrate receiving their diploma.

Back to School  

Hundreds of school children with parents in tow converged on Sam Houston High School on Aug. 16 for the annual Back-To-School Rally where they picked up school supplies, learned of any AISD changes for the new school year and were caught up to date on immunizations. | Valentina G., a seventh-grade student at Nichols Junior High, prepares herself for a vaccine.

Kelley Hall has been to enough of these Convocations - eight so far - to know how it goes: you hoot and holler, and you wave pompoms if you've got them, applaud loudly if you don't. You listen to the superintendent give the lowdown on district progress, and then you hoot and holler and wave your pompoms some more. Operation Graduation registration now open
The Arlington ISD will host an Operation Graduation walk from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, as an effort to encourage students enrolled in school in spring 2014 but not in the fall to register again.

The Arlington Independent School District provides free and reduced-price meals for qualifying students under the current income eligibility guidelines.

September 4: The Board of Trustees will meet in a regular session beginning at 7 p.m.
