Little Quads
Say hello to three dudes and a diva. It's hard not to. They arrive at Little Elementary four strong, often holding hands, bouncy and buoyant little ones toting backpacks about as big as they are, heading off separately to their kindergarten classes. They are the first batch of quadruplets to attend Little as far as Principal Beth Anne Woodard knows, and she's relishing the notion of watching them grow up within the halls of Little. | Ben, Drew, Ethan and Savannah Steece are enjoying kindergarten at Little Elementary.

Flying High
By the seventh grade at Barnett Junior High, Daniel Walker was already thinking legacy, as in what he could do to leave a lasting impact on his immediate family and those who follow him. Turns out, it wasn't too difficult to find. For years he'd heard the stories of his great uncle Norman Scales, a famed Tuskegee Airman during World War II. | Bowie High School alumnus David Walker is a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force.

For the first time in a long time, Aaron Perales wasn't responsible for 1,100 students on the first day of school. Just one. His daughter, who he was dropping off at Butler Elementary. Still, the former Crouch Elementary principal couldn't help but linger in his daughter's school halls for a bit wondering how he could be of service. | Aaron Perales currently serves as the director of parent and community engagement.
