Soon AISD students interested in fields as diverse as game and simulation programming and air conditioning repair will be able to enroll in certificate programs specific to those fields. In fact, 10 career certificate programs are being added to a growing list that already includes firefighting and cosmetology. | Culinary arts students helped serve food at a reception.

Larson's Bragging Rights

Each year for the past 13, students from Butler and Larson elementaries have come together for a shared passion that doesn't seem in any danger of sputtering out. In fact, if anything, the big Butler/Larson chess tournament gets bigger and better with more students (and teachers and parents) waiting in anticipation of the event, which occurs each winter. | About 100 first through sixth graders from Butler and Larson elementaries competed in a chess tournament.

AHS Off to State

The Arlington High School Academic Decathlon team swept the regional competition, capturing 43 individual medals and a pair of team trophies in the process, and is headed to the state finals.
