A tradition was born a few years back when the Ashworth Elementary choir was invited to perform during the Multicultural Festival portion of the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend festivities and wowed the audience. Stakes seem to get higher each year Ashworth returns, but the performances don't necessarily change. Morton's Literary Link

Morton Elementary has become the latest AISD school to partner with the Arlington Public Library and become a community-based LibraryLiNK. Following in the footsteps of Atherton, Farrell, Hale, Roark, Short and Webb elementaries and Harmon Elementary of the Mansfield ISD, Morton now offers students and parents the opportunity to check out books in the school library just as they would at one of the city's branches. | Morton parents are thrilled about the school being a LibraryLiNK location for the Arlington Public Library.

Gunn's 40 Years

Myth has it that Floyd Gunn's boisterous laughter can be heard in the halls of Gunn Junior High, and while that might sound spooky to some, it's a comfort to those who knew him.
