Welcome

The National Center for Family & Marriage Research (NCFMR), established in 2007 at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), welcomes you to our monthly electronic newsletter News and Notes.

News and Notes aims to inform you about the activities of the NCFMR. We will update you on current research findings and trends, announce training opportunities, and provide registration details for upcoming conferences and workshops.

Variations in Remarriage Rates

Over the past two decades, the U.S. remarriage rate has fallen dramatically, declining by roughly 40% since 1990. The decrease is most pronounced among younger people, whereas at older ages (55+), the remarriage rate has remained relatively stable.
