Wow...I mean WOW!!! You know you're getting older when:
  • A few months ago, while visiting my parents, I noticed every time I sat into a chair or got up from the chair, I'd hear a moan and a groan. It wasn't until I felt the accompanying ache that I realized those sounds were coming from me! I asked my dad about that and he just gave me that silly grin that only someone who could empathize would understand.
  • Several (and I mean SEVERAL) years ago, while running ambulance duty, I had a young lady on our crew. She made a cute comment and I mentioned that she should respect her elders as I was probably old enough to be her dad. When she asked how old I was she told me that wasn't true, you see, her father was actually younger than me!
  • Finally, a few weeks ago, one of my Explorers was talking about his grandmother. When I asked her age I found out she's in the same neighborhood. When I asked his mother's age, I realized I had hit the next mountain as I was old enough to be this young man's grandfather!

never land I still feel like a kid - and many will tell you I act like a kid. I don't ever want to grow up and plan on staying in Never Never Land. It's my world, I like it there...they treat me well. And I don't ever have to grow old.

Pass this on...

Choosing the Right Marketing Partner

blog choosing partner Your marketing partner should be someone you can work with and trust and feel good about:
  • Do they rub you the wrong way?
  • Are they too direct or not direct enough?
  • When you talk to them, are they like a friend?
And, no matter how much of a good intent, your family -- unless they are professionals in the marketing and advertising field -- should let your marketing partner do their job.

Remember, if you were to provide your information to 10 different professionals, most likely, you'll get 10 different marketing plans. Some way out there and others closer to having the same concepts. You need to feel comfortable with who you will trust your business too. Learn more at Choosing the Right Marketing Partner!

Graphics Design adding grass
Landscaping!

Sometimes you have to work a little Photoshop magic to show the true product.

Since the new home is complete and we're just waiting for the spring so the grass can grow, we really don't consider this cheating.
  1. Photoshop the original photo as we always do
    • Levels, Curves, Hues/Saturation, Convergence
  2. Find an existing photo of a lawn taking into effect the hills and the 'grain' of the grass when mowed to match the existing photo
  3. Next, we place the grass image over the house and adjust for angles and sizing
  4. Finally, we mask (knock out) the areas of the grass that we don't want including the home, sidewalk, trees, driveways, etc.
I wish it were that easy to make my own lawn look so good and perfect!
