"Myths of Creativity"

Why are some people consistently creative and others strikingly unoriginal?  Why are exciting new ideas often met with lukewarm praise or critical response?  Why is it we're told to keep criticism out of generating ideas when some of the most creative companies in the world fight on a consistent basis?

About our Speaker:

David Burkus is assistant professor of management at the College of Business at Oral Roberts University,

where he teaches courses on creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, and organizational behavior. He is the founder and editor of LDRLB, an online publication that shares insights from research on leadership, innovation, and strategy. David is a fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts and was named an "Expert-in-Residence" by Creative Oklahoma. He is an advisor to several start-ups, and serves as Chief Strategy Officer of Vast Learning Systems, a web-based creativity learning and assessment company.

Become A Chapter Partner
IABC OKC has updated our chapter sponsorship packages. One of the biggest, yet simplest, changes we made is the name of the program. We don't want you to just sponsor, we invite you to be our partner. IABC Central Oklahoma has great potential to continue to grow and offer great programs, professional development, and networking to local communicators. But we can't do it without local businesses partnering with us to help make it all happen.

If you are interested in learning more contact Larisha or see below to view the new packages.
