Holiday Dinners provide a bit of normalcy

Seeing Laura*, an elderly woman, struggling to pickup her several overflowing bags of food at our holiday food distribution, we jumped in to give her a hand. As we walked to her car a distance away, she explained how much Beverly Bootstraps' assistance during the holidays means to her. "Last year I donated turkeys to an organization and now here I am needing a free turkey from you all," she said.

Laura explained that in the past year she had been diagnosed and treated with cancer, an expense that had wiped out her savings and she was now unable to work. And yet, with our holiday food bag, she was able to invite others into her home to share the generosity. "A family I know, their mother passed away a couple months ago, so the three kids are coming to my house for Thanksgiving. I'm able to feed them too with this turkey and the bag of fixins."

Thank you for your generosity this holiday season and enabling our clients to have a happy holiday.

Artcie Studio fosters creativity in our students

Artcie Studio of Hamilton has donated class spaces to two of our After-School Homework Club kids. They believe in the creative spirit; being creative, getting inspired and becoming educated. These kids are so excited to attend. Thank you Artcie!

Once again the trustees of the Crane Fund for Widows and Children has awarded Beverly Bootstraps with a grant to provide for those in need. Thank you for the continued support.

Well, actually we got $2000 from the Cummings Properties Employee Directed Giving program. That means their employees love us so much that they nominated us as a recipient! Thank you!

Landmark is generously hosting a Winter Clothing Drive to benefit Beverly Boostraps which kicks off tonight and runs through Jan 2. You can drop off gently used coats, sweaters, hats, gloves, mittens, scarves and new packaged socks for all ages at their facility.

OrthoWell Physical Therapy Fundraiser
