Thrift Shop

Did you know the Beverly Bootstraps Thrift Shop gives our clients access to affordable clothing, housewares, and other goods?
Many people in the Beverly community know about the Beverly Bootstraps Thrift Shop, but many may not know that the Thrift Shop also operates as a program and is a great way to provide our clients with access to affordable clothing and housewares.
Through the Thrift Shop, Beverly Bootstraps is able to collaborate with other organizations, such as the Red Cross, to help people affected by natural disasters. In these cases we are able to provide affected families with new clothes, dishes, and other household items.
The Thrift Shop is also a great way for Beverly Bootstraps to add additional revenue to support our programs. With all of the revenue going back into our programs, the Thrift Shop makes everyone who shops there a donor. Whether someone has donated items from their spring cleaning, is in need of buying affordable clothes for their children, or is looking for a great bargain, they all have a chance to donate by contributing to the Thrift Shop.
If you or someone you know would be interested in volunteering at the Thrift Shop, it is a great way to serve the community! Click here for more information.

Briscoe Middle Schoolers Support the Food Pantry
During the months of April and May, the Student Council at Briscoe Middle School held a food drive at the school. An item from our Top 10 Most Needed Items list was suggested to each grade/team to collect. When the students dropped off the food earlier this week, they were given a tour of our facility to help them learn more about how their good deed helps those in the community.
Also, part of the requirements of being an 8th grader in the National Honor Society is giving back to the community by completing at least 10 hours of community service. There have been several groups of Briscoe students who have chosen to hold their own food drives to benefit the Beverly Bootstraps Food Pantry.
We thank all of these students for collecting over 750 pounds of food this spring to help their neighbors in need.
