The Music Room June 16, 2015

Good morning,
Last week, Katie one of our Sprouting Melodies Providers, shared with me a wonderful story from one of her families. They told her that they look forward to coming to the music room every week because it is so open, safe, and has rugs! The fact that it has rugs is helpful for this family who have hard wood floors at home. The rug helps their little one learn to walk because of the traction it provides and the secure space to explore is so helpful for them. Another family shared with Katie that their child took their first steps in the music room!
One of the children in my Family Sprouts class stomped both her feet alternating between left and right while standing with support from her mother. Her mother told the therapist that this was the first time she's seen her stomp both her feet like that!
