How Do You Do? February 25, 2015
| |
Good Morning,
Welcome to Sprouting Melodies, Winter Session II! It's so great to see several familiar faces, and new ones as well. Music supports the development of relationships, not only between you and your little one, but also between you and the other families in class. Be sure to introduce yourself to someone new this week!
Below is an adapted version of a song from a book by Elizabeth Schwartz, MT-BC, co-founder of Raising Harmony and Sprouting Melodies, called You And Me Makes We. This song is about gathering together around music to instill a sense of inclusion. When singing this song at home, hold hands in a circle and swing your arms in and out of the circle.
Looking for more topics to read? Check out my previous Sprouting Melodies Weekly emails on our new archives page, including the introduction email that provides background information about who we are and what we do as Music Therapists.
I'll see you in class!
