Message from Dean Ira A. Jackson January/February 2015
UMass Trustee Richard Campbell, Dean Ira A. Jackson, and Massachusetts Board of Higher Education Chair Charles F. Desmond at recent State House event.
Violent conflict. Racism and civil rights. Homelessness and economic inequality. Global climate change. These are just a few of the issues that dominate our local, national, and international news.
At the McCormack Graduate School, we do not shy away from these wicked problems. Our faculty, research staff, and graduate students are committed to addressing these daunting challenges with new research, tools, and policy solutions informed by values-driven, inclusive approaches to problem-solving, here and abroad.
Professor Pamela Nadash, Department of Gerontology, will be one of three national discussants at the AARP policy symposium, "International Lessons for United States on Financing Long-Term Services and Supports."
All submissions should be received by the first of the month. The McCormack Impact cannot guarantee that all submissions will be published. Please send your items to
