Reflecting on last week's Commencement ceremony-my second at the McCormack Graduate School-this adage strikes me as relevant to both our newest alumni and our current graduate students. Enrolling in a graduate program takes both a can-do attitude and perseverance; going beyond the classroom to meaningfully engage in the world takes an added dose of courage.

On Friday evening following Commencement, Dean Ira A. Jackson co-hosted a reception in honor of Christiana Figueres at the home of McCormack Leadership Council member, Robert L. Beal.
