FY 2016-2017 Budget Materials Available
CCAP has completed an analysis of the final FY 2016-2017 budget that became law on July 11, including a summary of other related amendments to the Human Services Code, Fiscal Code and Tax Reform Code. Center for Rural Pa. Releases Analysis of Act 13 Spending
Research sponsored by the Center for Rural Pennsylvania exploring local government impact fee spending under Act 13 of 2016 was released this month.
Among the findings, the research shows that counties and municipalities have allocated the majority of these funds for capital reserve, emergency preparedness and public safety, and public infrastructure. The full study can be found here.

PennDOT to Send FHWA Form to Counties
Counties should expect to receive their FHWA Form 536 from PennDOT in the near future. The form is used to report the receipts and expenditures for roads and bridges from all sources. If an email is on file, counties should receive a communication electronically; otherwise a hard copy letter will be sent. Forms will be due August 31, 2016. DEA Overdose Analysis Available
The latest Drug Enforcement Administration Philadelphia Field Division Analysis of Drug Related Overdose Deaths in Pennsylvania is available. It is a comprehensive analysis of illicit drug and diverted pharmaceutical abuse in Pennsylvania, as measured through drug-related overdose death data.
According to the most recent reporting by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Pennsylvania ranked eighth in the country in drug overdose deaths in 2014 (21.9 per 100,000 people).

Grant Symposium is September 15
The PA Association of County Human Services Administrators (PACHSA), an affiliate of the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania, is partnering with the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) and the EPISCcenter, to present a one day symposium for county teams and their partners on grant opportunities.
Topics include: grant opportunities and how to find them; effective grant writing; finance and budgeting; customizing proposals and developing models to connect results to goals. Counties are encouraged to send teams that are tasked with grant functions, or may be tasked with grant duties in the future.
The seminar will be held at The Penn Stater Hotel Conference Center on Thursday, September 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch and learning materials are included in the registration fee. Click here to register. There is an early bird registration rate of $150 until August 1; after that, the rate is $200. Seating is limited.

Regulatory Agenda Information Available
All agencies under the jurisdiction of the Governor are required to publish an agenda of agency regulations that are under development or currently under consideration for public inspection by the regulated stakeholder community.

Medical Assistance Provider Revalidation Deadline is July 30
The DHS application deadline for Medical Assistance provider enrollment/revalidation is July 30, 2016. Revalidation processing times have run between 30 and 40 days.
Providers who only see Medical Assistance recipients in one or more of DHS's managed care programs still must revalidate their enrollment. Providers who are not revalidated by September 25 will be dis-enrolled.
