CFA Accepting Act 13 Grant Applications Starting March 1
 
The Commonwealth Financing Authority will be accepting the next round of applications for grants funded by Act 13 for watershed restoration, abandoned mine drainage abatement, baseline water quality data, orphan or abandoned well plugging, sewage facilities and flood mitigation programs starting March 1. The deadline for applications is June 30. 

The applications in this round will be considered at the September CFA Board meeting. For more information and instructions on how to apply, visit the Commonwealth Financing Authority Act 13 Programs webpage.  Questions should be directed to (717) 787-6245.
 

Juvenile Justice Practitioner Forum March 21-23
 
"Building Upon What We Do Well: Improving Outcomes for Justice-Involved Youth," a Learning Institute on What Works in Juvenile Justice will be  hosted by the Juvenile Detention Centers and Alternative Programs  of Pennsylvania (JDCAP) and sponsored by the National Partnership for Juvenile Services (NPJS) from March 21-23, in Pittsburgh.
 
The program will focus on engaging agency administrators, clerical staff, trainers, case manager and direct care staff with networking and education designed to help them initiate evidence-informed intervention strategies. Visit NPJS for more information.
  

CFA Accepting Alternative and Clean Energy Grant Applications Until April 1
 
The Commonwealth Financing Authority is now accepting applications for its Alternative and Clean Energy Grant Programs. Applications are due April 1.
 
The program funds activities to promote the utilization, development and construction of alternative and clean energy projects, infrastructure associated with compressed natural gas and liquified natural gas fueling stations, plus energy efficiency and energy conservation projects in the state.
 
The CFA board will consider these applications at its May meeting. For more information and instructions on how to apply, visit the Commonwealth Financing Authority Alternative and Clean Energy Grant Program webpage. Eligible applicants are encouraged to call (717) 787-6245 to discuss potential projects.
  

State Grant Program for Court Interpreter Services Application Due April 1
 
$1.5 million has been appropriated to help defray the cost of compliance with language access requirements of the Pennsylvania Interpreter Act and Unified Judicial System regulations. 

Applications for reimbursement are due April 1, 2016. Payment will be received by counties by June 30, 2016.

CCAP Spring Conference March 13-15
 
The County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania is proud to present the 2016 Spring Conference at the Hilton Harrisburg, March 13 - 15. Promotional materials have been emailed to all of our county and associate members so we hope you're making your plans to attend! The event now includes a Sunday night reception with Governor Wolf.
