First Friday Berea - Presented by MACED July 1 5pm-11pm "Old Town" Artisan Village Shopping District Featuring performances by PointSeven, Arrows of Aela, Vessel, Last of the Dodo, and Knot Fire Productions. Spotlight on Habitat for Humanity of Madison & Clark Counties. Berea Farmers Market Handmade Arts & Crafts Locally-sourced Food Vendors Informational Booths Kids Activities Bring chairs or blankets and stay the whole evening! The entire Old Town Artisan Village will be utilized for the festivities. Artisan Village galleries, studios and businesses will be encouraged to extend their hours into the evening.

4th of July SpectacularJuly 4 6pm, Fireworks at Dark Berea City Park, 6 Pirate Parkway Kid Games, Inflatables, Climbing Wall, Food Vendors, Face Painting and more. Patriotic Sand Sculpture by a world renowned and local artist, Damon Farmer. Live music by the Neon Nights Band from 6pm-7:30pm and Wild Card Band from 8pm-10pm. Berea Festival of Learnshops - 6th Annual

The Berea Festival of Learnshops has Something for Everyone. Select from workshops that last two hours to three days to pursue your interest in in crafts, art, music, literature, cooking, and so much more.Registration is open up to one hour before class time! Learnshops last from two hours to two or more days.
Come immerse yourself in Berea's culture of learning and fun.

Berea Craft Festival - 35 Anniversary Celebration
July 8, 9 & 10 Friday & Saturday: 10am - 6pm | Sunday: 10am - 5pm
Historic Indian Fort Theater, 2047 Big Hill Road (HWY 21E) Discover new work by over 120 artists from across the country. Take part in craft demonstrations, live music and regional entertainment. Admission: $6.00 for adults, $5.00 for seniors and children under 12 are free. Free Shuttle to the Berea Craft Festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am-5pm. Stops include the Kentucky Artisan Center, "Old Town" Artisan Village and College Square in front of Boone Tavern. Shuttle will make a continuous loop between the stops and the Festival. Quilt and Fiber Extravaganza
July 29 & 30 Friday 10am-5pm, Saturday 10am-4pm Berea Community School, 1 Pirate Parkway The Berea Arts Council's Quilt Extravaganza on July 29-30 has expanded to include all the fiber arts from embroidery, cross-stitch, knitting, crochet, to spinning and weaving. Visitors can shop at the Vendors Market full of booths selling quilt supplies, sewing machines, hand crafts, and yarns of all types. There will be talks on modern quilting, spinning demonstrations, and children's activities each day. The featured pattern is the Log Cabin and its many variations such as Courthouse Steps, Barn Raising, and the Pineapple Log Cabin. Admission is $5 at the door. "Quilts with a Kick"
On Exhibit July 1 thru August 6, 2016 Exhibit by the Quilt Artists of Kentucky, which is an auxiliary of the Kentucky Heritage Quilt Society. In conjunction with Quilts with a Kick, the Berea Arts Council is presenting a Fiber Art exhibit!
Exhibit Reception open to the public on July 29 from 6pm-8pm
"See the Art...Meet the Artisan" Featured is the artwork of Teresa Cole for July. This is a partnership between the Berea Arts Council and the Madison County Library - Berea location. It seeks to let visitors to the library see the work of some of the wonderful artwork from artists in Berea! Teresa's pottery will be on display at the library until the end of July. You have the opportunity to meet Teresa on July 31 at 2:00pm at the library when she will give a presentation about her work.

"Great Impressions: Prints by Kentucky Artisans"
On Exhibit Now thru September 10, 2016
Printmaking is one of the oldest forms of illustration and this exhibit includes works made with an array of printmaking techniques selected by each artist to translate their individual expression and style. The exhibit not only showcases the talent and range of Kentucky's printmakers, but also includes information on the history of printmaking with displays of printmaking tools, equipment, and examples of different printmaking processes.
"Kentucky Clay: A Continuing Tradition"
Beginning with the origins of clay and early objects made from clay, the exhibit shows the development of tools and processes used in ceramics. Through text, photos and objects, the scope of Kentucky ceramics is covered from early Native American pottery shards, to today's contemporary ceramic works.

This free tour includes stops at the KY Artisan Center, Old Town Artisan Village, Chestnut St. and College Square. Tour lasts about one hour or you may get off and back on at the different stops.
