First Friday Berea
August 7 from 5pm-10:30pm
First Friday Berea, a family-friendly block party celebrating our unique Appalachian community and culture - located in the downtown Artisan Village: Berea, KY shopping district.
Handmade Arts & Crafts vendors, Local Food and Informational booths. Be sure to check out all the shops, studios and galleries who will extend their hours for the evening. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the music!

Fireworks Display
August 7
On Friday, August 7th, the City of Berea will have the fireworks display that was cancelled on July 3rd due to inclement weather. This will be in collaboration with the First Friday Event held in the Old Town Artisan Village. In addition to the activities at First Friday, there will be a climbing wall and inflatables for kids in the Old Town Artisan Village. FIREWORKS will be shot off from the same location as always (City Park) and they will begin at 9:45pm. PLEASE BRING BLANKETS &/OR LAWN CHAIRS!!!

Battle of Richmond Annual ReenactmentAugust 29-30, 2015  Battlefield Park at Pleasant View, 1549 Battlefield Memorial HWY
Watch history come alive and learn about the history of Kentucky's second largest Civil War Battle.
Park opens at 10am to 4pm. Battle each day at 2pm. Events throughout the day.
Saturday only: Dance at 7pm. Night Firing of Cannon at 9pm.

Going Haywire

The exhibit features wire sculptures of horses and other animals created by the very talented Dacelle Peckler, DVM, of Paris KY.

Quilts with a Kick
On exhibit thru August 21
This exhibit is presented by the Quilt Artists of Kentucky and features Challenge "Stampeding" quilts and quilter's choice.
Black and White
On exhibit August 28 thru Sept 26
This exhibit showcases perspectives and surprises that result from artists' exciting and creative uses of black and white.
Opening reception Sept. 4 from 5pm - 8pm.

On Exhibit now - November 14
This exhibit details with text and photos the beginning of the hand-weaving revival in Kentucky and features Berea College's weaving program, Churchill Weavers, the Little Loomhouse and other Kentucky weavers.
Turn, Turn, Turn: Lathe-Turned Works by Kentucky Artisans On Exhibit now - Sept. 12. This exhibit features lathe-turned works by 20 Kentucky artists. It includes vessels, ornaments, jewelry and even a wooden golf club. These works are created from wood, alabaster stone, aluminum, plastic and sterling silver.
