June 25: Show Off Your Restaurant or Business at the Regional Mixer
|
Your Chamber of Commerce is seeking local restaurants to provide food for the June 25 Regional Mixer to be held at Blazin' M Ranch in Cottonwood. This Mixer will be a partnership with the Cottonwood, Camp Verde, Clarkdale, Jerome, and Sedona Chambers of Commerce. Each of the five Chambers will be providing 3 food vendors so no one vendor has to feed what is expected to be more than 400 attendees. Please contact David Keeber, Director of Membership at the Sedona Chamber if you are interested in participating. For more information, click here.
In addition, the Regional Mixer offers the opportunity to purchase a tradeshow table for only $100. There is hardly a better way to get your business services or products in front of so many people. Only 12 tables will be offered, so call the Cottonwood Chamber at 634-7593 today to reserve your table.
This will be a great opportunity to get your business in front of people from all over the Sedona Verde Valley area. Mark your calendar to attend. Bring a few friends, too!

| New Arizona Law Restricts Types of Service Animals Allowed in Public Spaces |
|
People will soon no longer be allowed to carry parrots, squirrels, cats and ferrets into Arizona restaurants claiming they are service animals, under a new law that restricts the types of animals people can use to help them in public places. And attempts by some people to claim their pet is providing an emotional-comfort "service," a ruse that has frustrated some restaurant owners, is explicitly forbidden by the law, which goes into effect later this year. Only dogs and miniature horses that are trained and perform work directly related to an individual's disability will be recognized service animals in Arizona. The new state law mirrors the U.S. Department of Justice's Americans with Disabilities Act, which was updated in 2011. Rep. Heather Carter, R-Cave Creek, sponsored House Bill 2401 at the request of the Arizona Restaurant Association, whose members said the state's existing law, which broadly recognizes any animal that provides any service, tied their hands when it came to keeping out more exotic creatures.
