Goodwill of Northern Arizona expanded Good Neighbor Centers, added team members, and increased the number of people it helped to find jobs throughout the community in 2012.That growth helped increase the economic impact of Goodwill of Northern Arizona from $22 million in 2011 to $25.2 million in 2012. Now-May 12: Lowell Observatory Launches Crowd-sourcing Campaign to Restore 117-Year-Old Clark Telescope

Until May 12, Lowell Observatory will be hosting an IndieGoGo fundraiser to restore the non-profit's first major research instrument and its primary public-program telescope. Perks range from a $5 Lowell pen to a $1000 private evening at the Clark for you and 20 friends! March 26-29: 'If I Were You' and 'Hunky Dory' premiere at Fisher Theatre

The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Northern Arizona premieres of "If I Were You" (starring Marcia Gay Harden and Aidan Quinn) and "Hunky Dory" (starring Minnie Driver) at its Mary D. Fisher Theatre. Both films will show March 26-29 at the festival's art-house theatre venue in West Sedona. Tickets are $12, or $9 for Film Festival members. March 28: Creekside Inn at Sedona Hosts Wedding Vendors and Chamber Mixer 

Join an evening of food, drinks and entertainment on Thursday, March 28 at the Creekside Inn at Sedona. Food is provided by Rosalies of Sedona & Perfection Catering. Music is provided by Eric Miller and Sedona Sounds, Creature Comforts by Verve Events and Tents.  Transportation is provided by the Sedona Trolley from 2:45 - 8:15 pm. March 29: The Power of Life Concert

The Center for Positive Living Sedona presents a special concert called The Power of Life with music from JC Superstar and Godspell. This concert features Sedona's popular entertainers Tom & Shondra, Sammy Davis with actors Michael Peach, Jeff Masters and more. The concert is a fundraiser for CPL Sedona on Good Friday, March 29 at 7:00 pm at Canyon Moon Theatre. Tickets are $15 and available at Basha's, Rycus Corners and CMT.

 

March 30: Life Transitions of Hopi Youth  

Life Transitions of Hopi Youth, a visual program by Ramson Lomatewama of Hopi, Saturday, March 30, 7:00 - 9:00 pm, Sedona Public Library, $10.  He will speak on development and multiple cycles of childhood into adult and educating Hopi students using traditional values. Lomatewama, is an engaging speaker, a mentor at the Hopi School in Hotevila, Arizona and a retired adjunct professor of sociology, a poet, artist and traditional farmer. March 30: The "Executive Sweet"  

On Saturday, March 30, Sedona will experience a bit of World War II history when a B-25B Mitchell bomber arrives for a brief 3 hour visit. The aircraft will land at Sedona Airport along with other WWII military aircraft. The public is invited to witness this event at 12:00 pm at the Sedona Airport. April 1: Sedona Community Pool- Lodging Amenity

April 6: 2nd Annual Tlaquepaque Pet-a-Walkie

Join in the fun on Saturday, April 6 at Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village. Everyone is invited to dress up in costumes with their pets to raise money for the Humane Society of Sedona. There will be a costume contest with cash prizes, raffle, vendors, entertainment, a pet photographer, pet psychic and more. The Humane Society of Sedona presents the 4th Annual Bone To Be Wild Motorcycle Ride To Benefit The Animals on Saturday, April 20.  Pre-registration is from 8:30 - 9:45 am and Kickstands Up at 10:00 am. April 20: Dancing in the Moonlight Benefits Verde Valley Sanctuary  

The Verde Valley Sanctuary, a shelter for victims of family violence, will host its largest fundraiser of the year, Dancing in the Moonlight, on Saturday, April 20 at 5:00 pm. The event takes place at Sky Ranch Lodge on Airport Mesa and includes drinks, dinner, an auction and dancing to the Latin rhythms of Cuban-American singer Mercy. Tickets are $100. Call
