March 20: PTA Hosts Annual Mexican Fiesta Dinner 

West Sedona School PTA hosts annual Mexican Fiesta Dinner at the Sedona Elks Lodge on Wednesday, March 20, from 5:00 - 7:30 pm. This fundraiser benefits the WSS 6th-grade class trip to Camp Colton in May. Local restaurants and families will be donating delicious food and a large variety of raffle/auction items. March 21 : Take Note Camp Verde: Obesity, the Dangerous Impact on Your Health

Obesity, the Dangerous Impact on Your Health is the topic of the next Take Note Camp Verde Lecture Series sponsored by Verde Valley Medical Center (VVMC). The Thursday, March 21 lecture will feature family health physician John Rooney, D.O. The lecture is 5:00 - 6:00 pm at the Camp Verde Health Center, 460 Finnie Flat Road, Camp Verde. March 22 : Friends of Oak Creek celebrate World Water Day

FRIENDS OF OAK CREEK (FOC) invite you to celebrate World Water Day Friday, March 22, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. outside the entrance to New Frontiers Natural Marketplace of Sedona.  The Oak Creek Watershed Terrain Model will be on public display and Master Watershed Stewards will be available to answer questions on our watershed. Free watershed brochures will be available. Oak Creek Bookmark Series will be available for donation. March 23: 'Great Expectations' from London's West End Debuts on Big Screen   

"Great Expectations", from the Vaudeville Theatre in London's West End, debuts in Sedona on Saturday, March 23 when the Film Festival hosts the big screen premiere in high definition. There will be two shows at 4:00 and 7:00 pm at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre. Tickets are $15, or $12.50 for Film Festival members. March 23: Sedona Heritage Museum Will Host a Book-signing

The Sedona Heritage Museum will host a book-signing for author Carolina Butler and her new book, "Oral History of the Yavapai" on Saturday March 23, at 10:30 am. This is a history from the Indians' point of view in the words of the Yavapai themselves, based on interviews of two Yavapai tribal elders. Talk and reading by author. Signing until 1:00 pm and refreshments will be served. Museum is located at 735 Jordan Road, call (928) 282-7038.

March 23: Verde River Adventure Center "Grand Opening"

The Verde River Adventure Center in Old Town Camp Verde is hosting a grand opening celebration this Saturday, March 23 at their full service river adventure center. The Verde River Runoff and Festival is also being held the same day in Camp Verde. The Adventure Center is a river kayak and tubing activity and retail gear store with everything needed for family adventure on the Verde River. The grand opening will run all day.

Music is provided by Eric Miller and Sedona Sounds, Creature Comforts by Verve Events and Tents.  Transportation is provided by the Sedona Trolley from 2:45 - 8:15 pm. April 6: 2nd Annual Tlaquepaque Pet-a-Walkie

Join in the fun on Saturday, April 6 at Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village. Everyone is invited to dress up in costumes with their pets to raise money for the Humane Society of Sedona. There will be a costume contest with cash prizes, raffle, vendors, entertainment, a pet photographer, pet psychic and more. The Verde Valley Sanctuary, a shelter for victims of family violence, will host its largest fundraiser of the year, Dancing in the Moonlight, on Saturday, April 20 at 5:00 pm. The event takes place at Sky Ranch Lodge on Airport Mesa and includes drinks, dinner, an auction and dancing to the Latin rhythms of Cuban-American singer Mercy. Tickets are $100.
