OCWC Volunteers become 'Friends of Oak Creek"

The Oak Creek Watershed Council (OCWC) now has a registered volunteer group as Friends of Oak Creek (FOC) under Managing Director Kathy Dunham and has openings for residents who wish to volunteer their time regarding water related issues in the community. Dharma Vibration Moves to the Village

V'rasana Oannes of Dharma Vibration has moved from the Center for the New Age in Uptown to 6018 State Route 179 Suite E, in the Village of Oak Creek.  For the months of February and March receive ANY service by donation. Services include: Barbara Brennan healings, sound massage using tibetan bowls, bodymind counseling, akashic records, and tarot/rune readings.  Call (928) 274-7919 for an appointment.

 

February 28: Deadline for SVAC Sponsorship

Sedona Visual Artists Coalition has sponsorship opportunities for the spring Open Studios Tour. Tour dates are April 26, 27, 28. Buying an ad in the brochure/poster supports local artists and art education in the community. Prices range from $250-$850.  Deadline for submitting ads is 2/28/13. March 1: VVFH Shredding Event

Save your documents for a secure shredding event with TNT Shredding on Friday, March 1, from 10:00 am -12:00 pm at the Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity ReStore parking lot. The cost is $6.00 per Banker size box or its equivalent. One third of this event's proceeds will go toward furthering VVHFH's mission of rehabilitating homes and building new homes for families in need in the Verde Valley. Contact annick.desmeules@vvhabitat.org for additional information.

Sedona's finest art galleries invite you to enjoy an evening of openings, special guests and artists receptions at their monthly 1st Friday Gallery Tour on March 1, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Trained in Egypt under the finest teachers she has performed professionally internationally for more than 10 years. Her performance at AZADI Fine Rugs kicks off their month long show "Ancient Traditions in the Modern World" during the SGA Tour from 5:00-8:00 pm. "Growing Healthy Communities" is the theme of the 2013 Spring Planting Festival presented by Gardens for Humanity from March 16 through March 24.
