Rotary Announces Chili Cook-Off Sign-Up
All area restaurants are invited to compete at the next Great Sedona Chili Cook-Off, a featured event at Tlaquepaque's Cinco de Mayo Fiesta, on May 4, 2013.  This year's Rotary Club of Sedona Cook-Off will have space for 16 restaurant booths and a beer garden at Tlaquepaque.  Last May, over seven hundred chili enthusiasts enjoyed tasting a delicious variety of spicy chili. AHA has shared the airport terminal for the past 14 years but now AHA will have its own office. AHA will be the first modular on the left just before the Mesa Grill. Join the thousands of families that make Red Rock Fantasy part of their holiday tradition. The 22nd Annual Family Holiday Light Festival includes 25 original displays, nearly one million lights, and a Dancing Lights Show.The route takes approximately 45 minutes to walk and is wheelchair accessible. Ballots are available to vote for your favorite display. Proceeds benefit nearly 24 regional service organizations. December 12: Living History at Museum
The Sedona Heritage Museum hosts Living History on Wednesday, December 12 at 10:00 am   "Stories-A Wild Ride" with Katie Lee, Verde Valley author, activist, actress, songwriter, singer, film-maker, and historian.  Now in her nineties, native Arizonan Katie Lee has had an eclectic and wild career. December 14: Pump House Prose and Poetry Society

Pump House Prose and Poetry Society will honor Sedona poet Mary Heyborne with an annual award given in the name of Christopher Lane. The public is invited to a gala reception at Cocopah North in Creekside Plaza on Friday, December 14, 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Other awards will be given to writers of original works presented during 2012 at the Pump House.

Go back in time to Celebrate Christmas! This FREE community event will be held at Tequa Marketplace in the Village of Oak Creek, 7000 State Route 179, Sedona on December 14, 15, 16. Ancient Bethlehem Market opens at 3:00 pm, followed by the Christmas Concert at 5:00 pm. It is an outdoor event so please dress accordingly. December 15: The Met: Live in HD -Aida  

Saturday, December 15 at 11:00 am, experience The Met: Live in HD filled with glorious music and massive pageantry at the Sedona Performing Arts Center. Giuseppe Verdi wrote Aida for the opening of the Cairo opera house in 1871. The cast is headed by Ukrainian soprano Liudmyla Monastyrska as Aida and French/Sicilian tenor Roberto Alagna as her lover Rhadames. New York's famous 92nd Street Y returns to Sedona on Sunday, December 16 when the Sedona International Film Festival hosts the live simulcast discussion "God Is One: Moses, Jesus, Muhammad". The special simulcast event will take place at 6:15 pm at the festival's Mary D.
