Confirmation Sunday

Our 2014 Confirmation Class is comprised of the 112 outstanding young people listed below. They have studied their faith and this Sunday will be confirmed in the Christian Faith as they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Through their affirmation of faith, they will be accepted as full members of Mt. Bethel. Please express to them your heartfelt congratulations and appreciation.

This Lent, Don't Just Give Something Up...Commit to Grow in Faith!

Last Sunday, we were challenged to make a weekly commitment to Christ during Lent. As a visual reminder of our promise to draw closer to Him, we put our fingerprint on a commitment card and on boards that are currently in the Sanctuary and in the Fellowship Hall. Four New Eagle Scouts
On Sunday, March 9, four outstanding young men were promoted to the rank of Eagle Scout in a ceremony in Fellowship Hall. Kyle Hudon, Harrison Floam, Stewart Hanks, and Christian Sullivan join over 250 other young men who have achieved the Eagle rank in Mt. Bethel's Troop 1011. [Read More]
 
Adam Hamilton's Buckets Don't Hold Water

Donations needed for CHARGE! Retreat. As we prepare for CHARGE! Retreat 2014, we are in need of some donations: empty baby food jars, bags of men's white t-shirts (size S and M), and boxes of Crayola crayons (name brand important).  Please drop donations off with Sherri Juliani in the Children's Ministry Department. And remember to register you and your 4th and 5th grade students for a fantastic two-day retreat!

 

Rev. Steven Brumbeloe is beginning a new Pastor's Bible Study on Wednesday, April 9th.  His study will be a 6 week study on the Parables from Luke's Gospel.  Join him on Wednesday mornings from 10-11:30am in room A18. 

 

Mt. Bethel is now offering two new Adult Sunday School classes at 11am: Hands and Feet and Stepping Into the Bible. Both classes focus on the study of Scripture and finding ways to serve others.

Summer Internship Program
Mt. Bethel offers paid summer internships working with children's, student, and college ministries. If you are interested in applying, please submit an applicationFor more information, contact Gaylyn.

 

The Mt. Bethel Nursery will be closed on Sunday evening, March 30, and Wednesday evening, April 2, during Spring Break. Regular Sunday evening activities will resume the following Sunday, April 6. If you have any questions, please call the Nursery office at 770-971-2588.

 

The Mt. Bethel Nursery is looking for a nursery staff member with a heart for teaching children. If you feel called to teach children ages birth to two years old on Sunday mornings and assist with diapering, feeding, and care, during Sunday morning services, please contact Debbie Ruth. This is a paid position.

  

Mt. Bethel Day Care Center is now hiring part-time employees to work in the afternoons. If you are 18 years old and have childcare experience please contact Dee Stolz: 678-560-8005.

  

Catechesis registration is now open for the school year 2014-2015. It is first come, first served.  Returning children and incoming siblings of existing families do take priority and must also be re-registered. We only have some spots for new children, so if your child is three by September and is potty trained, you may enroll him/her in Catechesis. Regular attendance is required. Contact Betsy Brown in case of questions.

Aloha to Aging

Alzheimer's/Caregiver Support Group | Monday, April 7 | 10:30am

Open to family members who are assisting an aging loved one both inside and outside of the home. Helpful tips and resources provide comfort and encouragement. Free respite care is provided for your loved one while we meet, but must call in advance for care to 678-439-1177 or email info@alohatoaging.org. Meeting held at Aloha To Aging, Inc. 4608 Lower Roswell Rd. Marietta, GA 30068.
