Christ Mass

Christmas is not merely Santa all dressed in red and white.

It is not Rudolph with a nose that glows at night.

Christmas is not spruce trees dressed with ornaments galore.

Colored lights on houses with a wreath on the door.

Christmas is not jingle bells or Frosty with a brain.

It is not a model town with an electric train.

Christmas is not "Season's Greetings" cards or gifts or toys.

It is not a season set aside for girls or boys.

Christmas it not chestnuts roasting on an open fire,

Time for snow to cover everything as some desire.

Christmas in some ways has been the victim of a heist.

Christmas is not Christmas if it does not have CHRIST.

Christmas is the Savior come to bring His peace on earth.

Let it be a time to sing and celebrate His birth!

Daniel L. Haulman

Continuing to Make a Difference

So far this year, over 100 Adults have joined Mt. Bethel on profession of faith - 100! That is an amazing number. One hundred people have committed their lives to follow Jesus Christ. In the secular world in which we live, that is an inspiring number. Mt Bethel is making a difference in the lives of people and bringing them into a relationship with Jesus and making disciples; that is what we do! That is what we are about.

We are now in the sixth week of our stewardship season. We are making progress toward our goal of $10,000,000 in pledges. So far 1,240 individuals and families (giving entities) out of a total of 2,679 have turned in their commitment cards. We cannot be content; we can't pat ourselves on the back. We must follow God's vision for Mt. Bethel. Pray for God's guidance and strength to make a faith commitment. Remember the 100 lives that have been changed and the countless other lives that are waiting to be brought to Jesus. Mt. Bethel must continue its outreach. Join us!  Return your commitment card or email us today!

End-of-the-Year Giving: Please remember, for income tax purposes, charitable contributions must be claimed in the year they are delivered. One exception is a check mailed to Mt. Bethel; it is deductible in the year the check is mailed (postmarked), even if it is received early in the next year. Also remember, if you plan to drop off end-of-year contributions, the church offices will be closed on December 24, 25, and 26. If you would like to donate stock or other securities to Mt. Bethel, please go online and click on the GIVE button and follow the prompts. There, you will find a form to use for transferring stock to Mt. Bethel. After completing the form, give it to your account representative for your stock/securities transfers. Please e-mail Sharon Wyland or call 678-560-7462 to let Sharon know the name and amount of the stock you are transferring to Mt. Bethel. To take IRS deductions for securities donations, please make sure these donations are made at least ten days prior to the end of the year. If you have questions, please call Sharon Wyland at 678-560-7462.
