Fall Changes

Faith and Flexibility are two key components required for a church moving forward. For the past 173 years, Mt. Bethel has faced each challenge with courageous faith and flexibility. We have changed worship schedules to accommodate growth, construction and repairs. Perhaps, a key reason for Mt. Bethel's success in ministry, as one of the leading churches within the United Methodist denomination, is its refusal to become entrenched in one form or fashion of worship and operations. Faith and Flexibility are necessary if Mt. Bethel is to meet the growing challenges imposed upon us by an ever-changing, secular, financially-strapped society. If w e are to remain relevant and steadfast in our calling to grow God's Kingdom, we must adjust to meet the $600,000 shortfall we are facing.

Therefore, beginning September 8, the following changes in the worship schedule will occur:

Our 8:15 service will move to the Chapel;

Our Contemporary and 9:30 Blended services will combine, meeting in the Sanctuary at 9:30.

Our 11:00 Traditional service will remain.

Our Fellowship Hall will remain open for breakfast until 10:30. Sunday School and Life Groups will be offered to all ages at 9:30 & 11:00. In order to provide necessary, expanded space required by our growing Student Ministry, some adult classes meeting in the B Building will move to larger rooms off of the Fellowship Hall.

Please keep Mt. Bethel and our staff in your prayers as we seek God's guidance and wisdom in meeting today's challenges. "Attitudes" and selfish concern will, in no way, help! Together, we can use these trials to make us stronger and more committed, as a church, and individual Christians. Mt. Bethel's Faithful Flexibility will turn this portion of our journey into a glorious adventure for Christ-centered people.

God Bless You & Thank You,

Randy Mickler, Senior Pastor

Life Group Leaders Needed! Are you feeling called to serve or invest in the lives of others? Mt. Bethel Student Ministries is looking for volunteers who will commit to investing in the lives of students through Life Groups. Life Groups are our small group discipleship ministry. They're the way a large church and student ministry become smaller and more intimate for our students. Student Life Groups meet on Sunday nights (from 5-6pm for middle schoolers and from 6-7:30pm for high schoolers).  We place 8-10 students with 2 adult leaders who help guide and facilitate discussion, along with helping students apply God's Word to their lives. We focus on DOING LIFE TOGETHER through fellowship, Scripture, prayer, and service.  For more information or to sign up, please contact lauren.eden@mtbethel.org.
