Mt. Bethel UMC

"Transitions"

Randy
It was announced three weeks ago that, after fourteen years as one of Mt. Bethel's associates, Diane Parrish is being transferred to Fayetteville, Georgia as the senior minister at Providence UMC. Diane and Ray have endeared themselves to us all. Their Camp Hope, Kidz2Leaders ministry will remain on the Mt. Bethel campus, under Diane's direction. We invite you to participate in a love offering for Diane - please mark your check "for" Diane Parrish's love offering "to" Mt. Bethel. We will present the love offering to Diane & Ray on Sunday June 16 at the reception for them in the Fellowship Hall at 12:15pm. We love you, Diane, and appreciate you greatly.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Ray Fountain, Justin Smith, and Pete Sharp. We wish them all the best in their next journey. After many years of faithful service, Ray and Pete are retiring. After a lifetime, literally, with Mt. Bethel, Justin has accepted the position of Spiritual Life Director of a nearby school. Cary Farrington, current associate with our student ministry, will assume the director's role in what promises to be one of the smoothest transitions ever! Please express your appreciation to these outstanding people of God.

Also, join us in welcoming the Rev. Steven Brumbeloe as our new associate minister. Steven is Kelly's husband and will begin his ministry with us on June 23. Welcome to the team, Steven!

May God continue to bless Mt. Bethel's ministries and lead us according to His will.

The Career Ministry of Mt. Bethel UMC will meet on Tuesday, May 28 at the Mt. Bethel Community Center (4608 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, GA  30068).  Resume reviews begin at 6:30pm/Presentation at 7:30pm. The topic for the evening will be "Developing your Employment Brand."  Your employment brand is a critical component of your job search.  In today's competitive job market you must be able to communicate who and what you are and identify the skills and knowledge that you bring to a prospective job.  This session focuses on developing your employment brand and integrating it into new and existing job search materials.  There will be plenty of exercises and examples to help you understand and implement this critical step. You will leave with a new sales and marketing approach to your search, plus a process and the tools to successfully position yourself to compete.
