Randy                    Living Generously
Jesus Christ desires to express His love and expand His Kingdom through us, so that we can build a firm foundation for ourselves, experience His joy and be able to stand before the One who gave everything to us willingly.

So, are you ready to begin? Perhaps we should say it another way: Are you ready to live? Are you ready to live a life that is sweeter, deeper, a life that is truly free?

On Sunday, January 27, we will begin a church-wide sermon-study series entitled, "Living Generously." No doubt, you have heard sermons and read books dealing with generosity, most of which point directly to money, but this series deals more with the totality of His teachings. It deals more with the "well done, good and faithful servant" we all desire to hear. "Living Generously" has to do with our heart, whether we were a good servant and whether we were a faithful servant. Our love will ultimately express itself in giving.

Please understand, this series has far more to do with the true meaning of a genuine generous life than it has to do with money. We live in a culture that has lost the true meaning of a generous life. This new series will open our eyes to Biblical generous living and help us enjoy the fruits of our own journey of generosity.

There will be a few new "twists" experienced in the worship services. For example, there will be short video clips telling and showing the story of one family's journey toward generosity. We will show the five, five-minute videos, during the offertory. Immediately following the offertory, the scripture will be read and the sermon spoken. The anthem and special music will occur prior to the offertory. Now, I realize how difficult and challenging change can be for some of us. With that in mind, we promise to return to our more traditional ways after this five-week series.

In all honesty, we (the staff) feel that once our church has experienced this series from the pulpit as well as small-life group studies, God's intended abundant life will be better realized and celebrated in our personal lives. It's going to be exciting!
                    Are You Ready to Live?!
