Thanks for a successful 4th annual Rock & Read! Thanks to everyone who came out for the Friends of the Library's Rock & Read 5K Run/Walk on September 14, 2013. Friends Pop-up Book Sale: Nov 2, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at South County Regional Library You've enjoyed the Friends of the Library's week-long Big Benefit Book Sale each year. Now join us for short, pop-up book sales throughout the county. The first sale will be held in the parking lot of the South County Regional library branch. Find great deals on books and other materials. Book sale proceeds benefit the Library.

Teen Read Week, October 13-19. Teen Read Week is a national literacy initiative held each year during the third week of October. At Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, we offer top-notch access to literacy programs and services year-round, but Teen Read Week is your chance to sample all of our literacy programs for teens compacted into just one short week.
