Communities Matter at Your Library
Today's libraries are driven by the needs the community. Whether you're looking for e-books, information on student loans or 24/7 homework help for your kids - Charlotte Mecklenburg Library has the resources to meet your needs and those of the whole community.
Here in our community of Mecklenburg County, the Library serves as an integral provider of literacy, learning and education.
- In a recent community survey, 99% of residents agreed that the Library is a valuable educational resource.
- Last year, the Library encouraged the love of reading and learning by offering 743 unique programs, delivered 8,677 times, reaching 440,385 attendees.
- And 97% of parents/caregivers said that they are better prepared to develop pre-reading skills in their children as a result of attending library programs.
As a subscriber to our e-news, you are a natural advocate for libraries, and National Library Week is a great opportunity to spread the word about how communities matter at your library, and how libraries matter in our community. It's easy. Just share the facts about your library with people you know, and help us spread the word about why libraries are still needed in the 21st century and beyond. Learn more at www.cmlibrary.org/libraryweek.
