Message from the Executive Director, Nancy Gagnier

I write to you in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and on the morning after the Nor'easter. It's hard to fathom that we had four inches of snow when we've barely recovered from the storm. The trustees and the staff of the Coalition hope that you have come through this time safe and sound. For those who have experienced loss and damage, we wish you a swift recovery.
So many people and so many local groups came together throughout our towns to offer help and to support those without power, or worse, with damaged homes. If you have a story to share about neighbors helping neighbors, a special volunteer who really stepped up during this trying time, or a local group (church, synagogue, service organization, etc.) that offered aid, please share it with us. We will post some of those special accounts on our website and in a future Enewsletter. Send us an email at info@twotowns.org -we would love to hear from you.
Now that we're back on the power grid, we have a few Coalition updates for November and December. We hope you will join us in one of our upcoming events!

Annual Dinner: A Testament to integration in SOMA
It's hard to believe that just a few short weeks ago over 110 people were dining and dancing at the SOPAC Loft on a crisp autumn evening to celebrate integration in our towns and to honor two wonderful community volunteers, Charlie Bibbins and Rev. Terry Richardson. Read more about the event and take a look at the pictures. |

Two Towns Sing-Along
Local residents gathered at the Burgdorff Performing Arts Center on Sunday, October 28 to sing their personal favorites ranging from "Bye Bye Miss American Pie" to "R-E-S-P-E-C-T", and they also played a round of Community Coalition Bingo as a fun way to get to know neighbors from different backgrounds including race, religious affiliation and childhood origins. Thanks to the Puffin Foundation for supporting this event and all our 2012 Integration through the Arts programming! |
