2016 Annual Scholarship Awards Celebration

The Real Estate Center traditionally kicks off the new academic year with a fall reception that brings together students, faculty, alumni, Center sponsors and staff. Part of the evening program is to recognize the accomplishments of our fine students by awarding academic and travel scholarships for the 2016/17 academic year. Thanks to the many supporters of the real estate program, this year the Center awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships to undergraduate and graduate real estate students. Industry Organizations Support Real Estate Education

The NAIOP Chicago University Scholarship Program as well as the Goldie B. Wolfe Miller (GBWM) Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative each recognized the academic and professional excellence of two graduate students enrolled in the real estate program. NAIOP Chicago awarded a $10,000 scholarship to Rahul Patel, and GBWM selected Nicolette Domaradzki to receive a $10,000 academic scholarship. Rahul and Nicolette were recognized at the Center's Fall Reception along with the organizations that provided the financial support. |

Twelfth Annual DePaul/REIA Summit
|
The Real Estate Center and REIA have been joining forces for twelve years to inform real estate professionals about the latest trends in the industry. This year's event will take a close look at the commercial real estate market and expert panelists will discuss which property types will perform best; how millennials are affecting retail and residential and what dislocations are occurring in the commercial real estate market. The program will open with a real estate forecast outlook by DePaul's very own James D. Shilling PhD, Michael J. Horne Chair in Real Estate Studies.
