We were going to promote our Veteran's Day special here, but the truth is we offer a free tapa to servicemen and women all year round. From Sunday to Thursday every week, veterans can come into either Emilio's Tapas locations in Hillside, IL or Chicago's Streeterville neighborhood to get the free tapa of the day. The tapa changes daily; it includes favorite dishes such as our very popular Datiles con Tocino, which are bacon-wrapped dates, and Patatas Alioli, our famous potato salad with a garlic infusion. Some days, it'll be dessert. Other days, it may be something our guests haven't tried, or something they always get when they eat here.
All vets have to do is show their server their military I.D. or other proof of service, and they'll get the complimentary tapa. It's that easy. It's our way of thanking them for their service, and for assuring them that we haven't forgotten the sacrifices they've made for their country.
