Greetings!

Most of you know that my avocation is off road motorcycle racing/riding, and I have the scars, steel rods, and plates that just happen go with the territory. Anyway, I want to briefly tell you about an absolutely awesome ride with four of my pals in the Rockies at altitudes up to 15,000 feet... far above the tree line.

Rockies In September we embarked on a four-day trek in Colorado from Aspen to Telluride. Our journey was over nasty narrow, twisting and rugged trails that likely give mountain goats fits and was definitely not for the light of heart. I've included a picture of yours truly taking a much needed break on the left.

As luck would have it, in the damp early morning of the second day while ripping along a gnarly trail I wiped the mist from my goggles while in a very rocky section of the trail. Not good - I lost control of the bike, flew helplessly over the handlebars and landed on my neck. The resulting pain was serious but being a real trouper I bravely sucked it up and fought on until we arrived in Telluride for the evening. The next day I was back in Phoenix and in a hospital for examination... and no, it wasn't of the mental nature.

Injuries consisted of a broken finger and three herniated discs in my neck. Fortunately your ole bug guy's in pretty good shape, fully recovered, and ready to meet the endless challenges of pesky critters so they won't annoy you and your family. So let's talk about pests.

Cooling Down: We're in a beautiful time of year finally enjoying some much needed relief from the torrid summer temperatures, but don't let the weather lull you into a sense of complacency because our usual pests are extremely active. As a matter of fact October is historically the worst month for rattlers and other snakes, scorpions, crickets, and a host of other pests.

This results from cooler evening temperatures causing these pesky critters to emerge from their lairs at sun up and seek the radiant morning heat for warmth. They can be seen sunning in streets, yards, on sidewalks, and just about anywhere they can bask in direct sunlight.

As always, be alert and call us with any pest concerns.

Please be assured that we only use the most effective, environmentally friendly products to protect you and your family

We appreciate your business and will never take it for granted.
