Hello :

My Belle of the Ball Recently I had the honor of escorting Lexi, my lovely 6 year-old daughter pictured here, to her school's annual father-daughter dance. To my chagrin the evening's attire was dressy so I had to dig out my one and only rarely worn suit. Fortunately, it was clean and moth free. Lexi wouldn't let me see her dressed until we were ready to leave for the affair, and then, wow, what a surprise. My little girl was a young lady who would be the belle of the ball, in my eyes at least. Anyway, off we went to tickle the hardwood with Lexi nattily attired and yours truly doing my best to look sharp.

The gala affair was held in the gym at her school, Desert Sun Academy, in Scottsdale. There where were approximately 150 attendees mingling, enjoying refreshments, and dancing, or attempting to do so.

Now I'm a bug guy, not a dancer, and was a bit concerned about looking like a clutz trying to do the one step with two left feet... not to mention being clueless about today's dances, gyrations, or whatever's in vogue. Fortunately, after stumbling through a few dances Lexi took pity on me and excused herself to dance with her hip friends who had also abandoned their fathers for the same reason.

Seriously, it was a very enjoyable evening being with Lexi, and I couldn't help but remember when she was in a crib. Whew - time really flies... but somehow I don't seem to get much older.

That's enough about me so I'll move on to a more relevant topic: weeds. As an aside, any plant can be a weed... if its not wanted.

How about our weird weather? Most of the country is freezing and experiencing all sorts of problems while we're in a heat spell a few months earlier than usual. The warmer weather is perfect for accelerating weed growth and it doesn't take long before these pesky plants start growing like crazy.

Weeds are pests that are every bit as undesirable as insects and similarly can be found everywhere that humans live or work. The damage they can wreak includes the following:

  • Infesting lawns
  • Invading flowerbeds
  • Clogging waterways
  • Filling up ponds

An often-overlooked important fact is that weeds compete with traditional landscaping for materials essential to growth, including fertilizer, water, sunlight and space. If their growth is not timely reigned in and checked they will always win the battle for the natural elements and destroy landscaping in the process. This can get ugly and expensive real fast.

Weeds such as ragweed can cause problems for people who suffer from allergic reactions to pollen produced from noxious weeds during certain times of the year.

We have a highly effective environmentally safe process available to control weed problems. It's a unique mixture that's sprayed on that prevents seeds from sprouting and kills existing weed growth. If you are concerned about weeds and the inherent problems they present call me at 480.473.2264 so we can speak about your particular situation.

Your business is appreciated and will never be taken for granted.

Sincerely,

Bret
