Hello :
Every time I've written about motorcycle racing there's been a ton of positive response and questions about it so please indulge me again.
For the record, my loving wife and daughter are most important to me. However, my passion is competitive off-road motorcycle racing... and yes, my wife tolerates it for the most part.
I got hooked at the ripe old age of six when my parents bought me a used mini-bike for $10. It was a real beaut fully equipped with a sputtering lawnmower engine that required a pull cord to start and a posh wooden seat. Regardless, I was like a kid in a candy store with that old bike always riding it around our back yard while constantly crashing into and tearing up the wooden fence that surrounded the yard. Next I moved up to a used 1969 Honda mini trail bike that was to die for, especially for a young buck aspiring to be a professional motorcycle racer.
Today I actively participate in the Arizona off road racing circuit and compete in the 40 Expert Class. It's made up of experienced riders of all ages and backgrounds who, like myself, thrive on the camaraderie, competition, course challenges, and most of all, the thrill of winning.
Nutrition, continual physical conditioning, and race training are mandatory in order to compete at this level. I eat well, go through a rigorous workout routine three times each week and train with a well-known racing professional, Steve Hatch, who is a mentor and good friend.
There are several types of races and courses over which we compete. They include fixed distances of 80 to100 miles and fixed times of 3 hours. Courses vary and consist of trails ranging in width from 10 to 20 inches that wind through rugged terrain filled with rocks, deep crevices, brush, cacti - you get the picture as this is not a Sunday ride in the park for the meek of heart.
A lot of time has passed since those early days that include countless spills, injuries, disappointment, adulation, and most of all, genuine joy with every aspect of off road racing.

Now... on to pest control.
Rodents: The area is rife with rodents and we'll provide bait boxes to manage these harmful intruders if you're experiencing problems with them or just want to take an extra measure of caution around your home. Email me if you want to learn more about their habits and getting rid of them.
Scorpions: Warm weather is quickly approaching and this is the perfect time to implement our patented "Kill Zone™" to ensure maximum protection for your family and home. I'll discuss this procedure in next month's Newsletter and go over the benefits. For now, suffice to say it works very well.
Weeds: Annoying weeds are starting to grow again so if you have any concern with them email me.
That's it for now. Enjoy the beautiful weather while it lasts.
