The Cant� is open this week so if you're on campus, DO drop by and visit. Queer events this week are at a low ebb but we urge your queer self to take a hike . . . literally! It won't be long until Fall quarter starts and whether you're a student, staff or faculty member, you'll be inside most of your waking hours. Get your supply of vitamin D and do something fun outdoors with queer & allied friends!

 PFLAG Santa Cruz Monthly Meeting
Tues, 8/12, 7-9pm, 900 High St. SC.
Please join us as we hear about the newest community group available for LGBTQ adults: The Rainbow Soup Group (sponsored by The Diversity Center). The 1st hour of PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) is devoted to discussion groups and then the 2nd hour is for the program. Hope to see you there!

This workshop provides a safer space for women and transfem identified people to work on their bikes and learn new skills.

Director Deb just met with a very cool yoga instructor and we're putting plans in place to offer a "queer inspired gentle yoga class" this Fall. The trans focused self-defense classes offered in Spring quarter were so well received, we're wanting to offer more modalities for helping queer students reconnect with their bodies and spirits in gentle, loving ways.
Lesley is busy greeting incoming students during Orientation Days--we love the enthusiasm and queer friendliness of our student visitors!
