QReview

Bigger than Life
Hardcore porn--both the straight and gay varieties--entered mainstream American culture in the 1970s as the sexual revolution swept away many of the cultural inhibitions and legal restraints on explicit sexual expression. The gay porn film industry grew dramatically during the next thirty years and transformed the way men--gay men in particular--conceived of masculinity and their sexuality.

What has the Cant
done for YOU?

Our fab summer student staff folks have been working very hard cleaning up, freshening up, and organizing the Cantu so that when students return, it will look welcoming and inviting. This involves mundane tasks (e.g. Deb is washing the many comforters in the lounge area; Margarita is organizing the kitchen cupboards; Jordyn is dumping hundreds of old files on the 2 student computers; Lesley is sorting through the crafts and supplies cubbies; Tam is purging old papers)   Deb and DJ are finalizing publicity materials and getting the many queer student orgs and groups scheduled for Fall. Wow, we have a wonderful array of groups for students to join!

We are getting super excited about welcoming back returning students and meeting new students for the first time. For many incoming students, coming to the Cantu is the first time they've ever been in a dedicated queer space that celebrates their many identities and allows them to express and be their true selves!
