Summer is in full swing but I can smell nature's subtle shifting into the fall, especially in the cottonwood and sycamore trees on my property. However there are a few more weeks of summer sun calling us to play!

It has been months since I last sat down to write a blog entry. It's not that my life has been stagnant - quite the contrary - but it feels like I've been percolating, sifting through relationships and situations, preparing for something new to open. What new truth is being birthed within me? How do I walk this earth in a way that offers peace to those around me? How do I shift with the ongoing winds of change? How do I become truth and kindness in life's journey when I am triggered by situations and relationships that bring up the old limitations of my inner child? 

This is an ongoing theme for all humans and I'm no exception! My relationship with my father often resurfaces during one of these cycles and invites me to reflect on what is true and what is not. When there is a misunderstanding with a friend or family member, and it is necessary for me to retreat into myself for reflection, I ask the ancestors, "What is the truth behind this feeling? What is the lesson I am being invited to learn?"

The Divine Imagination is the vibratory field where we behold and are transformed by our Self (our Soul) and all Divine Beings. It is the field where we awaken to our eternal nature and access our highest wisdom, our potential, our creativity and our full ability to love and to thrive in this world.

Join us for an experiential weekend of soulful reflection in nature. This transformative retreat will be at Pine Manor in the Cleveland National Forest. We will practice meditation, free-flow writing, communicating with nature spirits, creative expression, shamanic rituals and dream-image work.

This workshop is for seekers, writers, artists, healers and all who are looking to gift themselves time to delve into the sacred portals of imagination.

EXPLORING SHAMANIC JOURNEYING

INTRODUCTION TO JOURNEYING
When: Sunday, Sept 20th: 11am to 1pm
Where: Private residence in Laguna Beach
Fee: $40

This is a two-hour introduction to shamanic journeying. Most participants stay for the afternoon session of "Beyond the Basics" to practice their new skills.

In this class we will connect with our power animals and compassionate spirit allies for the purpose of healing ourselves and our communities. This is an experiential course where we will enter non-ordinary reality using the shamanic journey and other techniques. Journeying is the foundational tool for shamanic study and healing and provides the passageway that has been used for centuries to obtain information from other dimensions, realms, and realities. Through the journeying process, you can receive information, knowledge and wisdom which you can utilize for solving problems, gaining clarity about life's circumstances, or simply to build your awareness and understanding of the different worlds beyond. Journeying is a perfect way to learn what direction is needed in your life to facilitate wholeness.

(Prior to the session I ask that you read Sandra Ingerman's book, Shamanic Journeying: A Beginner's Guide)

Shamanic journeying is a prerequisite for all other classes.



BEYOND THE BASICS

Join Gretchen to expand on previous journeying experiences, deepening your relationship with your Power Animals, Upper World Teachers, and the Spirits of Nature.

HEALING YOUR ANCESTRAL LINEAGE

Not all our ancestors have been wise and loving in their choices. When hearts and minds and hopes were broken, their woundings resulted in traumas that have been passed down through our DNA. Connecting with the gifts and talents that you inherited and recognizing the sacrifices your ancestors made provides a healing environment for releasing the past through forgiveness and love.

This powerful experiential workshop will explore family patterns and subconscious limiting beliefs that need to be released, for the past, the present, and the future. 

Prerequisites: At least one successful shamanic journey
