"My focus has been to portray the natural world as most of us experience it every day."

On Wednesday, July 30 at 7:30 p.m., Ms. Carroll and birder Mark Lynch will close the exhibit with an illustrated slide talk that will take viewers through a year of Central Massachusetts Natural History in depth. Through a carefully constructed narrative, hand-picked images, and gripping personal accounts, Earls reveals the amazing world of mega-bases, nuclear arsenals, missile silos, and high-tech development that helped the US to fight and ultimately triumph while keeping the Cold War from escalating. His presentation also delves into the remarkable story of student radicals and anti-war activists who fought a very different battle to end the militarization of our region. Admission $10, includes museum admission. Advanced registration recommended by calling 978-598-5000. Public WOO Card $1 off admission with WOO Card
