It's that time again--time for our 14th annual Celebration of Life event in New York.

The event will be held on Thursday, May 12.

SFA's Bert Thomas to Speak in Wisconsin

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Network will host their annual educational event
for patients and families living with sarcoma on Saturday, April 23 in Milwaukee, WI.   The event will be held at the Milwaukee County Zoo Peck Welcome Center from 8 AM to 2 PM.

Adult and pediatric health care professionals will discuss the latest sarcoma care and research.
This event will include a round table discussion on patient advocacy and awareness featuring Bert Thomas, IV, PhD, Chief Executive Officer of the
Sarcoma Foundation of America.

Register Now for Childhood Cancer Action Days 

You're invited to join the Sarcoma Foundation of America and the Alliance for Childhood Cancer for the 5th Annual Childhood Cancer Action Days. This two-day event in Washington brings our community together to advocate for important childhood cancer issues currently before Congress.

Michele Levy Joins SFA as Development Director
Michele Levy has joined the Sarcoma Foundation of America (SFA) team as Director of Development.  In her new role at SFA, she will work to bring greater awareness to sarcoma and build relationships for increased funding for research and advocacy efforts.  Already she has begun work on a number of initiatives to enhance fundraising activities and has been working with supporters throughout the country.
"I'm honored to be a part of such a worthy cause. I work in honor of every sarcoma survivor and sarcoma warrior and the people who care about them personally or professionally. I welcome the opportunity to talk with you in how together we can help find the cure," Ms. Levy said.

Ms. Levy is experienced in working and volunteering with both local and national nonprofits, most recently supporting over 80 affiliates and a national office's individual giving efforts.  She holds her MPA in Nonprofit Management from George Mason University and graduated as an Isabella Cannon Leadership Fellow from Elon University.  Since 2010, Ms. Levy has held the internationally recognized Certified Fund Raising Executive(CFRE) credential.
