Let's Do Our Part- Save Water!
Did you know, an average household uses about half of their water on their outdoor landscape? Anaheim Public Utilities is encouraging all of our customers to cut back on their watering schedules. To encourage customers to take action, Anaheim Public Utilities offers a number of outdoor rebates, including the popular turf removal program. Leading by example, Public Utilities recently completed a large-scale turf removal at the City's largest electric substation, Lewis Substation, located in central Anaheim. Nearly 14,000 square feet of grass was replaced with low water use plants and mulch, which will result in a water savings of 180,000 gallons per year.
